Our characters

Peppy Pals’ characters are six gender-neutral animals that, just like you and your friends, have unique personalities and characteristics. This allows children to recognize and relate better to their animal friends.

Kelly the Cat

“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That’s why it’s called the present”

Kelly takes pride in being a mindful and cool cat that doesn’t show as much emotions as the other pals. Since Kelly likes to spend much of her time alone, you might think this kitty doesn’t like the others, but actually, it’s just who Kelly is. Luckily, the friends know this and are always happy when Kelly shows up to play.

Izzy the Owl

“I try not to laugh at my own jokes but we all know I’m hilarious”

With strong opinions and an eccentric temperament, Izzy wants certain things to be done in a certain way. This leads to Izzy disagreeing with a friend sometimes, or lacking a sense of humor. Despite that, when this quirky owl is around you’re going to have an exciting time. All the pals would agree that Izzy is a very wise and thoughtful friend to have.

Sammy the Horse

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade”

Even though Sammy is tall and strong, this easygoing horse tends to stay quiet and away from the center of attention. Being a little introvert means Sammy doesn’t always pay attention to everything and everyone in a situation, but as with all of us there’s more than meets the eye, and Sammy is in fact a very diplomatic friend and a good listener.

Reggy the Dog

“At the end of the day, your feet should be dirty, your hair messy and your eyes sparkling”

Reggy the dog is a loyal friend who always means well, and is driven by curiosity to go on adventures and try new things. Going out into the world with such great enthusiasm means that sometimes, Reggy starts acting before thinking, and ends up in tricky or frightening situations. This well-meaning puppy reminds us that “you live and you learn”.

Gabby the Rabbit

Get out of your head and get into your heart. Think less, feel more”

Gabby is a little shy and a bit more sensitive than the other pals, but at the same time, this kind-hearted bunny is most often the first to notice when something’s wrong with someone else. Strong emotions also goes both ways, as Gabby’s warm and pure joy tends to bring the group together. After all, what are emotions if we cannot show them to one another?

Cory the Crab

“Life is too short to be serious all the time. So if you can’t laugh at yourself, call me and I’ll laugh at you”

Cory loves to poke fun at the friends. While Cory has an extraordinary sense of humor,  the constant joke-making and teasing makes people perceive Cory as emotionally immature. Even though this crab can take it too far sometimes, Cory manages to stay humble. In many ways, the humor is what brings Cory closer to the friends.

Peppy Pals’ stories always have a positive ending. The characters bring joyful learning into children’s lives. Throughout our stories we aim to show children that a kind and empathetic friend makes their friends happy and contributes to a good community. Just like it is in real life.

Our stories

In each narrative; game, books or films, the characters will encounter everyday situations that deal with a variety of social situations. How can you work together to solve a problem? Why should you share? What can you do if someone gets upset? In Peppy Pals, there are no right or wrongs. Instead the children will see the effect of the characters’ actions and perspectives, and how it affects their own and others’ feelings. In this way, the children are given the opportunity to make well-considered decisions in real life based on the situations.

My son thinks the animals are cute. He can mimic the characters, reenact scenarios and relate back to situations in real life.

Sparking conversations

For each story, there are questions that parents can use to create conversations about topics that may otherwise be difficult and complex for children. Sometimes it can be difficult to find inspiration as a parent to initiate important conversations on emotions with your child, and that is why we have made it easier for you. The experience of talking about matters of a personal or emotional nature with your child is something special which can create a stronger relationship between the both of you. Families can connect through everyday moments and daily routines with Peppy Pals. It’s quality time for the entire family.
